Anime Oshi no Ko officially got a second season after the broadcast of episode 11 in Japan. A new trailer visual and announcement has also been revealed.
After the broadcast of today’s episode (28/06/2023), production of the second season for the anime adaptation of Aka Akasaka’s manga, Oshi no Ko, has been officially confirmed. The press release did not provide a scheduled release date for the sequel, but did include new promotional images for the franchise.
About the Oshi no Ko Series
Furthermore, Oshi no Ko is a manga by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama) and Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) which was first released in the magazine “Weekly Young Jump” in April 2020. Until now, there have been a total of 8 volumes circulating from this manga.
Finally, the manga itself won first place at the seventh event of the “Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō)”. The manga itself has sold 3 million copies.
Synopsis of this Anime Series
16-year-old Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol and the idol of her fans. She is the epitome of purity, but not all that glitters is gold… Gorou Honda is a gynecologist from the countryside and a huge fan of Ai.
So when the pregnant idol showed up at his hospital, he was very confused. Gorou promises her a safe delivery, but little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in an early death, or so he thinks.
