This bit of unconsciousness actually helps him relive his past and it is revealed that until he became a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, his unique strong body and appearance made him the butt of ridicule. Reminded of this feeling of acceptance, he wakes up more determined than ever.
Mitsuri starts to push himself to move faster and fight harder, and Zohakuten notices that he’s growing the Demon Slayer mark. It takes place after a self-realization breakthrough like Tanjiro and Muichiro did in the previous episode, but it’s yet to be revealed how much boost he gets from the appearance of that sign.
